Intro to Bobbin Lace Workshop

This six hour class will teach the basics of bobbin lace. You will be taught by Anne Moore, who has taught this craft for many years in the Indianapolis area. Class will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. A catered lunch and your workshop pattern is included in the price for this workshop. The class does have a maximum of 10 students.  Class will be held at The Craft Corner, 4 E Main St., Chesterfield, Indiana.

Please note the supplies list below. If you already have the supplies listed, you can elect to bring them with you (bobbins must be pre-wound as directed below) when you select the options below to register.

Supplies List:

  • 2 solid color balls of Lizbeth size 40 thread (no variegated, please)
  • 18 bobbins, all either spangled or plain (do not mix bobbin types, please), wound as follows:
    • 6 pair pre-wound with less than a yard of your main color on each bobbin
    • 1 pair pre-wound with a little more than a yard of your contrast color on each bobbin
    • 2 extra pairs pre-wound with less than a yard of your main color on each bobbin
  • Cookie pillow, 20” size minimum
  • Pricker (or quilting pin)
  • Stainless steel, high quality pins

If you choose to have Tatting Corner provide your supplies, they will await you already pre-wound at class start. You may request specific colors in the comments section of this order, or we will select complementary colors for you to use.
